As the 13th president of Xi Sigma Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, it gives me great pleasure to welcome you to our website.  Our amazing chapter was established on June 11, 1983 and this platform highlights our service to Upper Montgomery County, Maryland.  Xi Sigma Omega Chapter is committed to planning, promoting, and implementing initiatives that uplift this upper county in Maryland.


Xi Sigma Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority is aligned with our Sorority’s national goals of Soaring to Greater Heights of Service and Sisterhood.  We work in partnership with a variety of other agencies to address issues and find solutions with our initiatives, which  Empower Our Families, Build Our Economic Wealth, Enhance Our Environment, Advocate for Social Justice and Uplift Our Local Community.


For almost 40 years, our membership has grown significantly, and we are ON FIRE with sisterhood and service.  If you are a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. and are in search of a new chapter, we welcome you to join us.  Feel free to peruse the Initiatives and News and Events sections of the website to learn about how we provide service to all mankind.
